this past weekend was truly lovely. if only every week allowed so much time to create. after seeing a "free-lance" posting for rifle paper co. i was overwhelmed with excitement and tried to replicate images that i found significant - i spent the entire day mixing gouache and i truly loved every single minute of it.. i am hesitant to post images because of the popularity of her work.
the following morning i drove to a model drawing session and though everyone was working in oils and watercolor (which believe me, i wish i had been as well) i spent my time in graphite. i've found i get swept away with the medium i am using and forget to pay attention to the accuracy of my drawing. after an hour and a half i came up with this - i was quite pleased
following the model drawing, i spent the next two days with don in his gallery. a large amount of time was spent designing packaging for the sets of postcard he will be selling in his new gallery - but the latter half of sunday i came up with a resolved drawing that i am looking forward to turning into a reduction woodcut.
